I teach English grammar to studens privately.

My high school students got an assignment from their public school.
It was to write an essay:  what do you want to be in the future and what should you do
for that in high school days?

A (girl student ):  I want to be a doctor.
                        I :  What do you have to do?
                        A : I have to study.
                        I : What else?
                        A: I have to build up my comminication ability.
                        I : What should you do?
                        A: I speak to a student next to my seat.
                        I:??? What ?  Is it enough?
                        A: Okay, then I'll speak to one in front of my desk.
                            Because we have to think of what we can do inside our highschool area....
                  
This is present, common high school student.
I should think of the influence of COVID, but it may be.....

The age reaching "adult" is now 18. They can vote for elections and maybe can drink in the future.  To me, the young appears very childish to me.  I hope they think more in their mind.
